While I prefer print books for my own reading, I try to be inclusive when I write about literacy, not get into an "either/or" debate. As you mention, digital literacy is hugely important, and my own pet, visual literacy, is a component of that. The important thing, for me, is that we all keep spreading the word about children's literacy and do our very best to encourage kids to acquire literacy skills.
